Jordan Winegar, M.D.
Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Jordan Winegar, M.D., specializes in cataract and refractive surgery. He completed internship and residency, including being Chief Resident, at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He graduated from medical school in 2018 at Saint Louis University. Before that, he worked briefly as a chemical engineer after graduating cum laude from Brigham Young University.
He currently lives in Colorado Springs where he works performing cataract and refractive surgery. He has been published in multiple ophthalmology journals. He loves teaching and training others clinically and in the operating room with rotating students. He is the chief of the Warfighter Refractive Eye Surgery Program at Fort Carson, CO. His interests include anterior segment surgery such as cataract and glaucoma surgery, and refractive surgery including LASIK, PRK, cross-linking, and ICL surgery. Quality vision is one of the best gifts he feels he can give patients. He strives to treat each patient with the attention they deserve to get the best outcomes possible.
Dr. Winegar grew up in many places but spent a lot of time in Utah. When not performing surgery, he enjoys being outdoors, rock climbing, playing soccer, finding new restaurants, and working in the yard with his family. He speaks Spanish and Italian to his children, is trying out Portuguese, and loves building things with them.
