Dr. Mohammad Karbassi is an ophthalmologist specializing in refractive surgery and corneal subspecialty and has been and has been performing ocular surgery since 1996 including laser treatments for diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and secondary cataracts. Dr. Karbassi also specializes in cataract surgery, corneal transplant, pterygium surgery, refractive lens exchange and laser vision correction including LASIK and PRK.
EDUCATION | TRAINING
Dr. Karbassi graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington D.C in 1988. He completed his initial internship and residency at Harvard Surgical Services at Deaconess Hospital followed by two years of fellowship in ophthalmic research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston. He then completed his residency in 1996 at Boston University. Dr. Karbassi then moved to Rochester, NY and completed another successful year at the University of Rochester in 1997. After completing his schooling, Dr. Karbassi moved to Billings, Montana where he served as staff ophthalmologist and Department Chair at Billings Clinic. In 2006 he relocated to Colorado and is now serving in private practice.
