Frank Rosenbaum, M.D. is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist with 40 years of experience. As a board-certified professional, he specializes in various vision correction procedures and has successfully performed over 50,000 surgeries, including complex cases involving cataracts, LASIK, and corneal transplantation.
Originally from the Midwest, Dr. Rosenbaum became a prominent figure in Michigan’s refractive practices, particularly as an early pioneer of the LASIK procedure. In 1996, he played a significant role in the CRS-USA FDA approval study led by Dr. Charles Casebeer, where he submitted his LASIK surgical data. Dr. Rosenbaum’s expertise and dedication to improving patient outcomes led him to be the first refractive surgeon in the country to utilize and publish his experience with pre-Vue cards in 2001. These cards proved highly effective in treating patients with unsatisfactory visual results, effectively restoring their clarity of vision.
Notable for his commitment to excellence and innovation, Dr. Rosenbaum achieved another significant milestone in 2005 when he established the first “in office” sterile surgical suite for intraocular procedures in the USA, which received approval from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
Dr. Rosenbaum’s passion for teaching has been an integral part of his career. He has served as the primary instructor ophthalmologist and Clinical Assistant Professor for both the Michigan State College of Human Medicine and the College of Osteopathic Medicine, sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience with aspiring medical professionals.
In 2021, Dr. Rosenbaum and his wife relocated to Colorado to be closer to their only son. While cherishing quality time with family and friends, he also indulges in activities such as swimming, golfing, and biking, which bring him joy and relaxation.
