Dr. Bryant Giles
Bryant Giles, D.O. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with expertise in laser refractive surgery (LASIK and PRK) and cataract surgery. Dr. Giles was born and raised in Texas and attended Brigham Young University where he received a degree in Public Health and Business Management. He joined the US Army in 2013 as he began medical school in Georgia. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.
Dr. Giles has been practicing Ophthalmology and performing LASIK for more than 6 years. He is the Chief of Ophthalmology at the Warfighter Refractive Eye Surgery Program at Fort Campbell, KY, home of the 101st Airborne. He enjoys performing cataract surgery on military retirees and their family members. He also performs LASIK, PRK and ICL surgery on soldiers. He is an Associate Clinical Professor in Ophthalmology for the University of Arkansas and mentors Physician Assistants through their military training at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital.
Dr. Giles loves his patients. He is consistently recognized at Fort Campbell for his high patient satisfaction scores. He also loves to operate. He performs more procedures per year than any other military Ophthalmologist. A new award, Top Surgeon, was created for him after he performed over 120 more cataract surgeries than any prior resident. He is passionate for his patients and is always seeking to improve his skills to become better. He also has a non-profit organization that provides free eye protection to local communities and as well, aids in medical mission trips, his last trip being to Honduras in 2022 to perform cataract surgery on nearly blind patients.
Dr. Giles lives on a small farm in Kentucky with his wife and 5 children. They have over 100 animals that keep them all plenty busy. He also serves as an assistant pastor. In what little free time he has, he loves to play tennis and pickleball.
