Dr. Andrew Makela’s Bio and Credentials

Andrew Makela, O.D. has been working as an optometrist since 2004, and has been with LasikPlus since 2005.

After graduating cum laude from optometry school, Dr. Makela completed an optometric residency in hospital-based primary care, ocular disease, and low vision rehabilitation. Dr. Makela is board-certified by the American Board of Certification in Medical Optometry.

During his free time, Dr. Makela can usually be found spending time with his wife and four children. He also enjoys hiking, running and playing guitar.
